  • (noun) teacher, instructor
Examples of how to use it;
 
  • Who is your Maths kaiako? I hear he is really good!
  • I have always wanted to be a kaiako, teaching our ākonga who will be the kaiako of tomorrow.

TIP: 'kai' placed infront of a word makes it the title of someones job.
  • mahi-work = kaimahi-worker
  • kōrero-talk = kaikōrero-speaker
